Great 8 Chase Nears Single Digits

Alex Ovechkin lit up Edmonton with a hat trick last week, then followed it up with 2 additional goals in back-to-back games to move him within 11 goals of breaking Gretsky's record

The NHL is well aware of the record as well, they have moved broadcasts for three capitols games, two in late March and one in early April. The games will move from local broadcast to national televised in hopes that the NHL can capture viewership and use the record chase as a way to boost the sport for the years to come.
